Make your own Spring garden
Be inspired by our gardens at Mill Green Museum & Mill and create your own Spring garden.
Here are some things from our garden you might like to include in yours:
- Bird table
You could draw your garden, create a 3D craft version using different materials you can find around the house, or even build a real one using soil, stones, and seeds.
Here are some ideas we've tried in the past:
Use a baking tray or a biscuit tin for your garden to stop the soil going everywhere!
A small tin lid or mirror makes a good lake.
Collect moss when on a walk to make a lawn or hills or a slice of turf (don't take it from the lawn!).
Push a twig into the soil or put a Plasticine base so it can stand to make a tree.
Plant violas for colour.
Add Lego people or make your own stick people to enjoy your garden.
Even make a house out of card with lolly sticks stuck on the card, foil squares for the windows, coloured card for the door.
