Relax and enjoy the sound of the river flowing beside you in this modern garden with a Tudor twist!
A 'Golden' Garden
Our jubilee garden was created in commemoration of Queen Elizabeth II's Golden Jubilee.
A Tudor Twist
The knot garden is based on a design dating from 1577 by Thomas Hill, who wrote ground-breaking works on gardening in the Elizabethan period. The design is an adaptation of the Duke of Buckingham's heraldic badge.
Enjoy the sights, sounds and smells!
With an attractive riverside setting, you can hear the rush of the River Lea as you sit in the garden. You could enjoy a picnic during fine weather while our two long herb beds provide the scents and flavours and our flower beds add colour and beauty to help you relax.
The garden is open at the same time as Mill Green Museum.
