Half Day Workshop - Welwyn Roman Baths
Time: 10:00 – 12:00 | Price: £8.40 per child
During this session, pupils will:
- Take a guided tour of the Roman Baths with one of our expert Museum Guides
- Learn how Romans bathed and explore the technology behind the bath house
- Discover how Roman life impacted the wider community
- Take part in an interactive trail to examine artefacts and understand the history of the site
Full Day Workshop - Welwyn Roman Baths & Mill Green Museum
Time: 10:00 – 14:00 | Price: £11.00 per child
Extend your visit by travelling from the Roman Baths to Mill Green Museum (school to provide transport) to continue to explore more about Roman life and take part in all of the following:
- Object handling at a Roman Market stall – examine authentic and replica items to explore trade, daily life, and Roman culture
- Mini archaeological dig and blanket dig – go back in time one layer at a time, examining objects from different periods and learning how an archaeologist investigates the past
- Roman Games & Pastimes – play games enjoyed by children and adults in Roman times
This full-day workshop offers a rich, interactive insight into Roman life, helping pupils connect historical events, artefacts, and daily experiences to real places and people.
